In this project, I wanted to learn about the history of the bicycle. These are some initial sketches that I did during my research and planning.
This was an exploration with the form of the bicycle as a non-functional, miniaturized, portable sculpture.
The final form of the book.
To give readers a more tactile reading experience, hand-cut flaps are included on each page of content. When you run your fingernail across the flaps, it creates a whirring noise that resembles that of a bicycle.
